The ermine changed into spring/summer colors! And was very interested in this grey squirrel. The cat was also very interested.

A beautiful snowy owl seen on the roof next to Peter White Public Library. Amazing to see one IRL. #birdsky

Taking a ski with my favorite snow bunny! We had the chance for a quick loop after his ski practice today.

The UP200 Sled Dog Race, back after two years of being cancelled due to lack of snow. I missed it more than I realized. The sweet joy of these pups is balm for the heavy heart and soul.

We’ve had a rabbit in the yard much of this winter. Two nights ago we heard the barred owls nearby (who cooks, who cooks for you). This morning, next to some fur, was this wing imprint in the snow. Credit to forever Boy Scout Scotty for making the observation. Nature, man 😬

About once a year I see the woodpecker line up on the suet pole, usually on a snowy day like today. Two pileated (one on top is harder to see) eat while the hairy and downy patiently wait. #birdsky

These two cats unabashedly heat seeking. The Space Boy series is living up to the hype. Great story telling, and the level of emotional maturity in the characters is a bonus. Highly recommend. What are you reading to keep warm on these cold winter days?
