My institution doesn't put their name on most of those types of vehicles. That way when it's parked in front of a bar there's less chance of embarrassing consequences.

I'm not an expert but generally growing season burns are preferred for restoring and maintaining wiregrass and other understory plants. That's ~ start of thunderstorms in June until August-ish. Dormant season / winter burns I think are preferred for more difficult situations like high fuel load.
