Performance is an art of its own, how many times are plays performed? Are they not art?
Passing off music or plays as you own would be fraud, performing them for an audience, as the original artists probably intended, is not the same
Arguably it's honouring their work

Totally simplistic garbage, basically far more cost & $ for banks. Nothing to actually address housing affordability

Their assumption based on gross rent yield (3.5%) which they cite. Why assume interest rates can't go up too? So simplistic, so flawed
Seems only certainty based on current rates & prices is you start by paying ~1.8 times that assumed rent for equivalent property. Who knows what can happen in 30 yrs

That seems incredibly simplistic & disingenuous calcs
At 95% mortgage you will be paying about 1.8 times as much per mth as the rent there, @ current rates, using gov mortgage calculator
Save $350k rent on $1M house but pay ~$640k to bank in same 10 yrs?
Bank gets $150k+ more in interest over 30 yrs
