We weathered 2020 because of deep community roots - donors who kept giving during economic uncertainty, volunteers who found new ways to help, families who kept showing up.

Resilience isn't individual. It's collective.

We found new ways to get books into kids' hands. We reimagined community connection. We adapted every program to meet the moment.

It wasn't easy. But storms reveal what you're really made of.

We had a choice: Pull back and preserve resources, or double down and adapt.
We doubled down.

Schools closed. Families isolated. The need for books, for safe spaces, for community connection became MORE urgent - just as it became hardest to provide.

Between 2013-2017, our branches grew. We expanded our reach, deepened our impact.
