#TBT to our 2020 study that busted a myth: Cyclists don't slow down cars on neighborhood streets.

The difference in car speeds with & without a bicycle present was less than 1 mph.

One of the most common locations for fatal motor vehicle-bicyclist crashes is at intersections, which inherently have a large number of turning conflicts. Reducing these conflicts is a key objective in improving intersection safety across all modes.
