Although I agree, I think it is somewhat rare that you would actually need to do that check.
How often do you care that a value is an object, but not care about the properties on that object?

It also writes some really bad code even for simple things.

I certainly hope that's just a bug where they used the wrong text rather than an intentional design choice. 😂

But, "it's hard" is also a very reasonable argument for not doing it.
What it really means is that companies prioritize spending time on other features.
It would be interesting to know what business goal led Craft to make animations a high priority.

Considering this fact, it seems criminal that Goodly isn't the name of a language/framework.

I'm not sure why companies are so eager to build AGI. It would either be HEAVILY restricted or it would be the end of the fundamental concept of economics that's existed since civilization began.
