It is a bit overdue, but fun to finally have a photo to share of the whole lab, courtesy of today's hike at Buffalo River State Park.

Zac Whaley @zacwhaley.bsky.social shared demographic-genetic individuals-based models of elk herds across North Dakota, Minnesota, and Mannitoba. These will be compared to genomic data to understand population structure. Zac is a post-bac RaMP participant part of: www.ndsu.edu/researchgrou... 4/6

!!PhD position - hoping to kick off recruiting over the next few weeks for a second PhD for next fall as part of an EPSCoR Track II doing small scale landscape genomics in fields (think microscopic organisms and drones instead of fish and satellite data). Email for pdf version.

‼️PhD Opportunity!!
Recruiting a student to do comparative riverscape genomics as part of a large collaborative grant with @akfraik.bsky.social and others from the U.S. Forest Service, expanding on the Teton trout work of the last couple of years. Don't hesitate to reach out with questions.

Just made the jump today - I'm a conservation ecologist interested in anthropogenic environmental change and management. I use landscape/pop genetics, modeling/simulation, GIS, and social-ecological systems perspectives across a diverse array of species (but a lot of trout/frog work).
