Honestly, it feels like a small scale version of the puritan shift the internet's taken recently - like, ignoring its history as a giant action franchise with a female lead portrayed as a capable stoic badass to make the "feminist" critique that her outfits are sometimes horny just, feels weird

Unironically a lot of the story ideas I've gotten most weirdly invested in over the years were originally dumb ideas I had for spider-man comics, that I reworked into an original thing
