I understand that

I think that’s basically what I’m doing, but also my therapist repeatedly sits there in shock as I say something problematic, acknowledge it, and commit to a healthy fix before she gets a word in, so 🤷‍♀️

She’d followed the tutorial perfectly, but there was an error. She didn’t understand.

Once I saw it, _init spelled as _inti, I just laughed as I said “you’re a real developer now, welcome to the club.”

I may not get to teach kids, but at least I have her. That’s enough for me 🥰

Therapy, unfortunately. Lots and lots of therapy.

I felt it was a lot smoother than the standard Vanilla version, but flavor is definitely the same

An updated video with all the animations in place

The world of difference the new sprites make in the game feel is ABSURD!

This isn't even the engine I'm using anymore, but it feels 1,000,000% better!

You’re welcome! They’re well deserved as y’all keep putting out amazing games!

Does Fiverr still get a cut of that? Yes, but the provider also gets far more paid work. That's better than encouraging a $5 tip, is it not?

It's not about giving more to the provider, it's about lining Fiverr's pockets.

My solution? I hire my providers again, and also give referrals. My character pixel artist has worked on two additional NES games because of my referral.

This is because they charge their usual fees on the tip. So on a $5 tip (the lowest option), the person tipping gets charged an extra $3.28 (screenshot for proof).

I can't confirm, but I assume Fiverr also takes a cut on the back end from the provider, as I know similar services do.
