Two of our biggest takeaways from this election: 1) Kenmore is full of wonderful people and 2) there is clearly a robust appetite for our vision of Kenmore. We’re looking forward to continuing to make good things happen with you! (8/8)

While we await a final result, thank you again to our supporters and the voters of Kenmore. We are so grateful for every single person who rallied around this campaign and expressed their confidence in us through donations, door knocks, and votes. (7/8)

Current results are firmly in the range of an automatic machine recount. While a recount affecting vote totals is rare, and one changing the result of an election is even rarer, it is important to let King County Election processes play out. Final election results will be certified on Nov 25. (6/8)

King County has contacted these voters with instructions on how to cure their ballots. If you would like to check the status of your ballot (we encourage it!), you may do so here: info.kingcounty.gov/kcelections/.... (5/8)

There are currently 20 ballots that could be cured. These ballots were rejected upon receipt for various reasons, mostly because the outside envelope was not signed or the signature on the envelope did not match the signature on file. (4/8)

From Election Day to last Friday (11/14), we closed the gap to just 27 votes. With 7,801 ballots cast, that's a 0.37% difference between us and the incumbent — incredibly close! (3/8)

King County Elections has been working diligently to make sure every vote is counted. They do an incredible job, and we are grateful for their integrity, reliability, and accuracy. We trust their process and election outcomes. (2/8)

One thing we do know: We have now earned more votes than many who went on to win. We think that speaks volumes, and we are honored. (2/3)

We think there's something important going on here: Kenmore has an appetite for the sometimes hard conversations about our collective future we need to have in order to build a strong, vibrant, inclusive future for all of us. We are stronger when we approach our challenges. (4/5)

Thanks also to Kenmore voters. Odd-year local elections are famously sleepy compared to even-year presidential ones, but you turned out! It is likely that both Pos. 2 candidates will have earned more votes than any 2nd place finisher – as well as many winning candidates – in Kenmore history. (3/5)

In the meantime, thank you to our supporters! The people who volunteered to work on this campaign have shown how deeply they care with every action they've taken for a better Kenmore over the past seven months. Working alongside them has been an honor. (2/5)
