Snow drifts tamed and tracks set, Green's Creek to P5. It's cold, but still quite a few skiers, walkers, runners, and fat bikes out this afternoon!
Our new (to us) #HappyTrails groomer did a great job on the drifts!

About 19cm of fresh snow at the start of last night's groom (measured by the car underbody drag marks..), and more coming! More grooming today, tonight, and through the weekend! Get out and enjoy!

Most of #SkiHeritageEast has been groomed tonight for your morning ski! We'll be out again likely Wednesday am with new snow. Wolves or Coyotes (big!) on the river, deer on the trail, near p27.

Ski Heritage East center skate track has been groomed west of Radisson. Beautiful day, and a balmy -18c. Lots of skiers out braving the cold!

Full groom today, end to end. West side stops at Hillsdale at the moment, sand on the trail and construction west towards the River House. Nice firm conditions, classic is thin in places but good overall. Skate should remain smooth even with foot/bike traffic. #SkiHeritageEast

The National Capital Commission has asked us to postpone snow grooming until mid-December. Today's snowfall is a positive sign of good things to come.

It's almost time! Not quite enough snow to groom the trails, but enough to demo the equipment to some Stittsville based volunteers looking to expand Ottawa's Urban Winter Trails network. Hoping for enough snow in ~2 weeks to begin grooming!

The west end of @skiheritageeast was groomed this evening from p27 to the @ncc_ccn River House. The p27 loop is 80% nice, classic & skate set well. West of there, skate was improved, a little, & classic was too hard to set. Use it while it lasts! Still 20-50cm packed base!

Almost the whole @skiheritageeast trail has been groomed today, from Tweedle Rd to the @ncc_ccn River House. Conditions are good overall, with some short icy bits. The drifts have been tamed in the west, but it's single track along the water near p27/Green's Creek.

The Ski Heritage East Trail is closed near Ogilvie road, including the P7 parking lot. For the next few days, the best conditions will be between Shefford and Tweedle, we'll get back to the west end when conditions and weather permit.
