My engagement has tended to fluctuate regardless, so I can't say for sure. Recently it's been down a little I think, but it might just be a lack of interest in the latest arts

I think that's a fair take. I also think that I won't be able to reach my goals without putting the effort in. The development of a skill requires discipline. I don't think inspiration is enough to try my hand at building a career.
