#TIL in #hullhistory - Hull's part in James Clark Ross's 1829 expedition to the #Arctic, when he became the first European to pinpoint the Magnetic North Pole. Stranded in the ice, the expedition was saved in 1833 by the #Hull whaler Isabella, and Ross received a rapturous reception back in Hull.
