If you were looking for an exposition of what British values *could* be you could do a lot worse than Ian McKellen wielding Shakespeare like a rapier.
Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Rule No.1 of being a populist. Don’t let the truth get in the way of a bare faced lie.
Zack Polanski the Greens are sharing misinformatioin about the Gorton and Denton by-election, and ought to be ashamed of themselves.

The chart he has shared on Threads suggests only thee Greens can beat Reform. But it's using vote change data.

Rod is the guy who liked Enoch Powell and last year told UK citizens to "give Nigel Farage a chance". So he can get fucked.

It is difficult to forget Trump's NATO soldier slur. I am sure many families in the UK, have like mine, over the decades, had someone lose their life in active service. I have yet to see any comment by Farage, Yaxley-Lennon or the usual flag shagging suspects.
The media need to get in their faces.

I think this is my core geopolitical belief.
Frankly: it is ridiculous that Russia (population circa 145 million, awful demographics, GDP of about the same size as Italy) is a security threat to Europe that requires US help to manage. But it currently is.
Reversing that is the first aim. And very very achievable.

Canadian here...you do what you can. Less than 10% of my shop is American now. If I can't find Canadian, its anywhere but American. Not perfect, but looks like we have sent multiple booze companies into shut down. Don't let some asshole American journalist tell you it can't be done. #ElbowsUp

It’s not about the guy it’s about the symbolism. His critique is correct, invade Greenland and it’s game over for the US - Europe relationship, you can include the UK in that, because it is then domestically politically unsustainable.
Send a second guy, then we can talk

Yes, JD. Let’s ask them if they think a stay at home mom, avowed Christian, and widow of a veteran deserved to be shot in the face and left to bleed out in her own car after dropping her 6-year-old off at school, for the crime of looking out for her neighbors. Let’s ask everyone running for office.
