i switched to duckduckgo a couple years ago now and didn't look back. much much less advertising and felt like i got more real results than the type of just pure seo bait i got on google.

I believe it's bing based? There's a google based one as well called Startpage that is also good.

stop me if you've heard this one before, but... parent company MediaLab bought Imgur in 2021 and has long mismanaged. The current outrage is firing of support people to replace them with AI and alleged censorship of dissent.
