Dungeon Master (Mistress?). Map maker (TotallyMaps). Domestic violence non-profit Content Director, but that's less interesting than D&D.

(All opinions are my own and do not represent any organizations unless stated.)
The creepiest twist turned out to be that the "demon gem" was just a rock covered in old, dried blood, and the "evil cult" was a clan of otherwise-mundane insane cannibals.

Who needs to invent scary plots when folklore does it for you!

I saw this about LOTR's narrative construction, and it made me think about worldbuilding as a GM. I run homebrew, and while I put a lot of work into detailing the world and making it interesting, I haven't focused on making the players CARE about the world they're in. #ttrpg #gm #gming #dnd

there are so many things hilariously and offensively wrong about this take, but I think my favorite is "women are not usually interested in science fiction."

yeah, no. we just invented *and* popularized science fiction.

my 13 year old adoration of Rayearth and most CLAMP work really was an early indication of my bisexuality, right up there with the Asuka and Rei in lingerie yuri-rific wallscroll I insisted I loved because "I just think it's pretty."

never have I felt so seen in a comic.

while I really liked being homeschooled, and it worked out quite well for me, the assumption that my family is ultra-religious because I was homeschooled is exceptionally off the mark and annoying.

The adorable, wonderful dog-daughter in question, Sassy. She's a (very small) German Shepard. Her favorite friends are anything smaller than she is, such as little kids, cats, and small dogs.

(She also inverts entirely for belly rubs, as you can see with the @failanth.bsky.social cuddles.)

It's #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth or #DVAM! I work in DV, and we get asked a lot what someone should do if they think a loved one is experiencing abuse.

I want to emphasize _financial support_. Financial abuse occurs in literally 99% of DV cases, and is a major barrier to survivor safety.

I do something like this! I create a mixed table of events and combat for new travel. Players roll on the chart to queue up character-specific moments, but sometimes I Rule of Cool.

I put some of my "semi-random" encounter prompts on a graphic, please feel free to use them!

It's #MapMonday, and I am fighting back utter terror about a root canal later today, so have a map I made as TotallyMaps!

Well, four maps. This Shinto-inspired fantasy shrine comes in day/night and grid/gridless variations. I hope it's handy for someone's game!

Campaign bingo was so fun to come up with as a group! It's also a neat exercise to think through the highly specific tropes, themes, bits, and sayings of your group or campaign. (Somewhat NSFW because our group is somewhat NSFW.) #dnd #ttrpg

i ship them as besties

This is great advice! I really like small dungeons for single sessions and one-shots. I made this map template (and a variation I used for a one-shot) to help with just that!

Boilerplate response from @drivethrurpg.com. C'mon, guys, do better.

(I obscured the employee's full name in the screenshot for their privacy. DTRPG, maybe also DON'T pul their full names in your shitty responses.)

Why Hannah is Not Getting Things Done Today:

This was posted in my Discord server. So, I had to explain why Spiderman/Deadpool shipping is so popular because of their very adorable 616 comics relationship.

With canon panel examples.

A LOT of panel examples...

Started doing up my AoS spearhead, then got distracted by the terrain from the box, which is WIP. I still need to:

- Paint the wood, skeletons, bell, chains, and all the MANY little details on the other side
- Figure out a cool magicy effect for the skaven symbol

One of my own creation! It's called Bittencourt Keep, here's a screenshot of the first floor.

Good morning, bsky! Have a #fantasymap for your #VTT needs. I really like how the moss effect on the dragon skeleton came out!

If you see this, post a knight~ 🗡️ ⚔️

I had a great time running one of my campaigns last night, so please have a #battlemap from the session! This dangerous pass was the hunting grounds of two Anglerphus, angler-fish-like monsters that lured in the party before trying to eat them (and thankfully, failing). #dnd #TTRPG #fantasymap

#battlemap / #fantasymap tip!

Up the brightness of items you want players to notice. E.g.: in this room taken over by mushrooms and thorny vines, I wanted the party to see the potion used to repel the vines, so I made it a glowy bright green to draw their attention.

Need a functional and mystical maze for your #TTRPG? Here you go! Had a ton of fun with this one, it was an interesting challenge to make it functional but also feel like it would actually be fun to explore.

One of my favorite #TTRPG #fantasymaps that I've ever made, here's a Fancy Magic Shoppe (With Cats). This is the map that really made me understand how small details make big differences in bringing a map, and in conjunction, a scene, to life.

Today's #battlemap project, a nice little #d&d / #TTRPG dungeon template. This preview shows one of my favorite tricks for doing hidden rooms: drag marks on the floor. My players have learned to hunt them out visually, which is way more engaging than relying on perception or investigation checks.

If you see this, post a vehicle.

(Fully panel-lined 30 Minute Missions, the first #GUNPLA I finished in like, two decades, as I get back into the hobby.)
