there's still so much misinformation out there. crap like "these only grow as big as their enclosures, right?" and other horrible misconceptions. i'm biased as it's my site but tortoiseforum.org might be a useful resource for your article :D

there are CBB russian torts available but they're pretty hard to come by, IME. some of the larger species like sulcata and leopard breed much more readily and as a result are very popular pets

Russian torts stay small and have tons of personality (they love to climb and are good at it!) but they're usually imported under terrible conditions here in the US. ☹️

The thrustmaster hotas is decent for the price. I have the T16000M and it's not really worth the additional cost IMHO.
