I think trump has done a deal with Russia. Support Russia over Ukraine and Russia will not say or do anything when America takes over Venezuela

So America gets paid for providing security and gets 50% of any profit from Ukrainian rebuilding as well as American companies providing this reconstruction. Basically America is forcing Ukraine to accept all Russian conditions as well as making money for doing this

If trump can side with Russia against Ukraine, how can any European country trust him not to do the same if Russia attacks another European country. Nato is dead and a European defense agreement needs to be formed. Most of all, stop buying American weapons

Perhaps after pearl harbour, America should have just arranged some cultural exchanges and listened to Japan's security concerns instead of declaring war. Perhaps even agree to reduce its armed forces and give up US territory as well

Russia is not promising to give up land in Kherson and Zaporezhia, they confirmed last time this was mentioned that all it meant is that they will agree not to claim the Ukrainian controlled parts of these areas. Basically giving nothing up

Exactly. European countries can hardly expect Ukraine to send their soldiers to other European countries when they have refused to send their troops to Ukraine. And if European countries want this then Ukraine needs to be able to join Nato

If the anti EU parties get their way and it's dismantled, then within a short period of time, countries will be looking at how it can be reinstated in some form. Change is needed in the EU organisation, but the idea works and is even more valid now than when it started

This is so true. I had 2 friends who fit this exactly. When Russia was bombing civilians in Syria, they were all terrorists according to them. Maidan was a CIA coup, Finland and Sweden joining Nato was forced on them by America and UK, and Russia was forced to invade Ukraine. Comple unreality

It all depends on how strictly the US enforces these oil sanctions. If they want, they could easily use the sanctions to target secondary companies that Russia will use to get around them. Or they could just turn a blind eye. Unfortunately my guess is on the later

I doubt Putin is offering to give up any land. He is just offering the parts of Kherson and Zaporizhia the Russians do not occupy. He is not offering anything at all really. But it would be interesting if Ukraine say they will offer Donetsk in return for all of both these areas

But all the countries surrounding Hungary are in the ICC, so it will be interesting to see how that can be sorted out. Also, the EU should have a say in this, perhaps allowing it as long as Zelensky and an EU representative will attend
