Glad to be of service. Still very much incredibly in your debt for all the entertainment the podcast has given ME. Looking forward to the next aural adventure you have planned

And, sorry. That’ll teach me to message too early in the day - I did hear that you’d seen them and it was Dave that hadn’t. Must’ve been too busy checking that autocorrect didn’t kick in and change Cult to my usual choice of word 😋

No. At the time we just thought it was in response to FM’s statement. I can’t quite recall when the news actually broke about his passing. I certainly didn’t hear until the next day (arguing with the milkman! He said he’d died and I said the statement was that he had AIDS, not knowing the update)

MY apology has already been posted!

I’m with you, Dieter - I fall in love with it every single time I hear it. If it ever comes up on shuffle it will always get (at least) a second listen.

One of the better live versions I’ve seen was this, with Tom Chaplin from Keane nailing the vocals impeccably. Not aping or mimicking Freddie but hitting all the notes, with none of the vocal histrionics employed by that Lambert fellow. Not a bad backing band, either!

An absolute stone cold champeen all day long. Not as good as “let me in your heart again”?! I’ll have a pint of what The Cardinal’s drinking! MISTER Randy, what the flying fuck are you on about? This is Queen’s last classic piano song, with everyone playing their parts beautifully. Simply wonderful

Bottoms up, gents (still on theme for Freddie! 😋)
May you both earn GLORIOUS hangovers 🍻

I think Paul caught the eye of many a female viewer (& I daresay some male viewers). Howard and Hilda were ace, though. Always love that he appeared in Flash Gordon.
He looks so different without his ‘tache and cardigan!

And whilst you’re digging, Comfort Blanket podcast that Joel does kinda picks up the baton and runs with it, so cherrypick it’s back catalogue, too!

Not sure how replies work on here so will tag @ianwinick.bsky.social in just in case. I revisited EDC recently and it holds up really well. I got the boxset on the back of @gralefrit.bsky.social & Jason Hazeley’s RULE OF THREE podcast episode about it. Do give it a listen overcast.fm/+AAy-_Wr1QL8
