In Minecraft I regularly torture people by causing them extreme mental anguish, because in Minecraft, making people fear for their lives is by far the easiest way to get lots of iron.

I don't know what's worse: that someone is arguing this point in court with a straight face, or that that clause must have been written with exactly this scenario in mind.

I was just thinking, imagine being the lawyer having to argue this point in court with a straight face. I wonder if their Lexus and downtown condo makes it worth it.

How indeed, it's not like there's thousands upon thousands of years of history filled with exactly these people. How, dear reader, does one judge these actual gods

On one hand I'm curious what the reasoning behind this could ever possibly be - on the other hand I'm not going to ruin my day trying to peer inside his head.

Ah thanks I hadn't seen that. It still feels weird to me that she's this early, but maybe she figures that if she sticks with pretending to be a person, people will forget about the space lasers.

I was like 20 in 2001 and I ate it up. I felt De Vito and Hackman were very believable in coming across as people from a very niche specialized world who go way back and know but don't trust each other.

Not a lawyer but I feel it depends who the conversation is with? If it's a convo between me and my neighbor it's one thing, but if it's a senator and the convo is with a Washington Post reporter that's quite another.

Not a lawyer, and I'm looking at the top answer and I like the point they're making about inference. Like if I were to say "I wouldn't hire that guy as a high school teacher nudge nudge wink wink" that can mean a lot of things, and it's interesting to me that I can't just hide behind that.

It looks to me like they divided all the kids on psych meds into two groups. The group above the line is kids who were prescribed psych meds in 2019, and the group below the line is the other kids. I'm gleaning that from the boldfaced captions but their placement makes me unsure if I'm right.
