Banjoleles are perfect for old-timey turn-of-the-20th-century music. If you stuff a towel in the back, your spouse can tolerate your practicing.

8 String Concert Ukulele. This is probably the most versatile instrument I own. Having the lower G string makes bass runs possible and when I play at campfires, it sounds like two instruments.
