“Teaching the Invisible Race” made it to Princeton University!
I got to speak on the Du Boisian research that influenced my book’s theory. There is no Pro-Asianess without Du Boisian Pro-Black theory.

If you need a speaker for your upcoming events in 2026 holler!

In 1955, W. Faulkner toured the Philippines as part of a U.S. State Department “cultural diplomacy” mission—one of many Cold War efforts to export “American freedom” through art. 🇵🇭✍🏽 Filipino writers, however, met Faulkner’s message with sharp critique, asking: Whose freedom?

The NEA breaks ties with the Anti-Defamation League—good news. The ADL is not what many people think. I support pro-Jewish education but reject Zionist education. Both can be true.

The critical Filipino American educator-activist world is so small. While at a deaf drag show celebrating my friend John aka Anita Martini (left image - we had to get 🍸 ), John introduced me to a Pinay deaf activist named Tina Childress who knows one of my research mentors out of CA. #serendeptity

Teach March 17th and the “End of Apartheid” in South Africa. Others argue that it was April 27, 1994 when Black South Africans could actually voted in the general elections for the 1st time which enabled for the release & ascendency of Nelson Mandela as President.

Images from my keynote at the Wisconsin Council for Social Studies “Making Social Studies Matter!” Educational Graphic of my speech created by Emily Nott 🙏🏽✊🏽💫.

I’m really hopeful for Wisconsin b/c of conferences like this, despite the bs happening nationally to further destroy public education.

Today is Dr. Seuss bday. While the world continues to prop him up, it’s only fair that I share the racist, ironic, and plain weird juxtaposition of his anti-Asian racism via his cartoons for kids and adults (via anti-Japanese propaganda) with his make believe Asian daughter / Chrysanthemum-Pearl.
March 2, 2025 at 5:22 PM
Happy bday to Dr. Du Bois! What is your favorite work from Du Bois ? Mine is Dark Water , Souls, and John Brown !
