Which books have you been so obsessed with that you bought multiple times? (i.e., the paperback, collector's edition, audio, and digital)

For me:

Dune
Green Bone saga
Remembrance of Earth's Past Trilogy

My mom uses the AI reader on Google Play Books to read my novel because there is a lot of advanced academic vocabulary that she doesn't understand.

But do you think that the voice reader would help her understand the Gen Z slang that I used? (Mom is 74.)

These are the two cleanest comp titles for my book, The Spiral Doctrine. Like Jade City, it is a martial arts noir about (chosen) family, and like A Memory Called Empire, there is technology that preserves and weaponizes the memories of deceased people.

Looks like a pretty good Tuesday night at the mall!

I'm looking forward to seeing what story seeds i could play with now that I have the complete set!

It's finished! This is my first novel as an adult (I'd written two as a teen, but they were destroyed), and I could not be more proud of it.

It fuses science fiction, wuxia, and neo-noir elements to tell a story about martial arts and science that could distort timelines

I've sent some links!

I just picked this up today! I haven't been this excited to pick up a book since I first read the Green Bone saga. The Teixcalaan duology sounds like my kind of philosophical scifi, where memories are embedded in artifacts poetry is central to the culture of the world.

This is my favorite SFF series that I read in 2025! I read them all twice and bought the velvet hardback. Worth every dime!

I was this month's staff highlight in my company newsletter!

I'm letting clients know that their kids are getting some graduate-level research mentorship and MFA-level writing advice.

I finally got around to reading something by Blaylock (one of my writing teachers), and he a MASTER but doesn't get half the recognition he deserves.

His sentence structures are immaculate, and it's rich with his whimsical sense of humor with a sense of adventure in mundane. Fantastic low-fantasy ✨️

This video is from 10 years ago! My then-roommate (his former owner) had just moved, and I accepted the role as his caretaker. I still tried to train him like a dog 🐕

Question for all writers and readers:

In your opinion, which writers would you say have the best prose?

In my humble opinion (no order, just anyone with an A+ for woodcraft):

Ken Liu
Tim Powers
Michel Faber
NK Jemison
Fonda Lee
Dan Simmons
Vladimir Nabokov

I just writing finished Act III of my novel. (It will have a five-act structure, not a three-act.) I feel creatively exhausted but fulfilled.

It's enough for me to take a few weeks off from writing. ✍️

I'm so glad that my paycheck doesn't depend on this. It's purely a passion project.

Si had a stressful day getting a haircut and bath today. He bit the groomer and broke skin 😭 I'm glad that he calmed down and gets some rest now 😴
