The BBC would like to make it clear that any matches involving English based teams come before Scottish, Irish, and Welsh ones.

The guys at FIFA must be feeling pretty stupid right about now.
December 15, 2025 at 10:20 PM
I really can't remember the last time the BBC were so happy.

There are two main requirements for a nuclear power station. One is to be as close to the power usage as possible and the other is to have a source of water for cooling.

Which is to say as soon as they announce a nuclear power station on the Thames at Westminster then I’m on board.

Fancied a new microphone but I don't think Santa can manage.

Can we pause for a moment to acknowledge how ugly the new design looks.

Today’s casual conflation is from the English @theobserveruk.bsky.social which declares that UK maternity services are in turmoil because units in England and Wales are badly rated.

Still, Britain? England? It’s all the same innit?

The time to admit the truth was when you were lying all the way through the campaign but maybe I’m just old fashioned and expect newspapers to print the truth.
November 29, 2025 at 11:09 PM
By this point it’s clear that @theguardian.com has no interest in reporting English issues accurately, preferring instead to pretend that other administrations are as incompetent as Westminster.

Still, Britain? England? It’s all the same innit?

Lest we forget.

Whenever you read a columnist in the papers, or listen to a correspondent on radio or TV, consider how they’ve reached the conclusions they are so confidently propounding.

I always knew Hue and Cry were a force for good.

@patkane.bsky.social for education secretary.

There’s drag? In pantomimes? Stop the presses!

(Although I am inclined to believe that many BBC employees were fooled.)

Some people are fighting back.

We’re now at the point where the far right accuse the far left of being too right wing.

Make it stop.

And the difference between the Tories, Labour, and the LibDems is…?
October 11, 2025 at 6:00 PM
The man most famous for rowing back on accusing a bigoted woman of bigotry because it went against his latest focus group is now @theguardian.com expert on combating far right bigotry?

Give me peace.

For the “British” Broadcasting Corporation an England football friendly trumps a Scottish World Cup qualifier.

I mean, how could anyone object to that?
October 9, 2025 at 5:36 PM
Over again a Westminster journalist completely misunderstands an outcome.

The SNP did not win because of process, indeed the process was designed to stop that, but because of policies.

Although @theguardian.com’s choice of a Blair speechwriter to read a Blair book hardly encourages understanding.
October 5, 2025 at 12:57 PM
According to @theguardian.com UK Labour, with the largest flags to people ratio in the western hemisphere, wanted to avert “nationalism”.
October 2, 2025 at 7:55 AM
The irony of @theobserveruk.bsky.social evoking the memory of the Glasgow rent strike while being ignorants of the fact that in Scotland councils can already buy back houses is staggering.

Still, it’s not like it’s a serious paper serving the UK. It’s just another London local paper.

And who could possibly have foreseen that etc. etc.
