Made it back to wet & windy Yorkshire after a lovely 2 days in Oxford with the #OOCDTP cohort. Looking forward to heading to Cambridge in spring. Spent a bit too much time in @blackwells.bsky.social but managed to pick up this cracker! #EtruscanResearch

Back to the @bsrome.bsky.social in September 2026. This time for 17 nights. It’s the longest I can get whilst juggling lots of responsibilities, but it’ll be amazing to spend a longer period of time in Rome. I swear, once I’m #PhD done, I’m going to apply for one of their residencies 🇮🇹

There’s probably a fancy sociological / psychological explanation for this, but I’ve always been a coffee drinker, black no sugar, the stronger the better, but in all honesty I can’t say I really enjoy its taste. It must be a social thing I’m conforming to ☕️ 🇮🇹

Lovely afternoon in Rome.
When I sit in the @bsrome.bsky.social courtyard I always think about my MA research on Roman gardens & how they were healthy spaces. Despite the chaos of Rome (which is just on the other side of the walls), it’s so peaceful here. Full of greenery, water & the sounds of nature 🦅 🌲 ⛲️ #RomanGardens

OMG 😦 I’ve found a copy of Monumenti Antichi (42) 1955 at the @bsrome.bsky.social which has EVERYTHING I need in it. The online catalogue suggested it wasn’t available, but whilst randomly perusing the shelves I found it! IM SO HAPPY 😂 Massive thanks to the lovely Library team who helped me!

Just a little light reading to enjoy in the Roman sun ☀️. I need a little break from the dense Italian scholarship so got these in English. Plus there’s nothing really too heavy here, more for the general reader.
