Hi Artie... I find IR a constant surprise - sun or no sun. The lack of it can give an image a somber atmosphere which can often work. The IR images I find the most challenging are limestone monuments against grass and foliage... both just appear white.

I'm no expert but when you see them it looks like the bottom of the stones were burried for a long time while the the rest weathered over the centuries. The difference is stark.
