How does (did?) WPA work with journalism? does the government subsidize existing outlets? beef up public news sources like PBS and NPR? just run subsidize a bunch of independent bloggers?
My understanding of the era isn’t strong, but I’m interested in the principle.

was thinking the race looked weirdly like MI: leftist lane dominated by unelectable admirable type, centrist lane taken by a house member out of step with the times, and a narrow opening for a state legislator who is both willing to fight and a little less tied to the leftist orgs.

im an Ohioan so it doesn’t matter, but Im definitely wary of Crocketts ability to win and was happy to see this. Talarico seems like an ideal combination of “will fight” and “can win”. (Allred didn’t seem fight-y enough)
