Common Thread: Don't believe everything you think

As it is about risk of infections to patients and the relatives the privacy vs sharing trade-off came out on the side of sharing.

Just a use case to consider the options of sharing vs privacy grading.

Eager to learn your current roadmap and how you plan to integrate with other AppViews.

Had a group with relatives for members of an elderly care facility and hence often shared private and medical info on our relatives to support each other and keep in synch.

There we explicitly stated the terms of use up front (pinned) and discussed edge cases.

Feeling you - the issue is that the people making the decisions in larger corporations are the chronically offline people… 🤣

Love this initiative & happy to contribute afaic. As we plan a “caring community” pro bono work exchange with a regional / local focus is super relevant.
Also have following ideas:
* geo-fencing services / posts
* making the geo-fencing dependent on other app states / time-slots, etc.

Understand the sentiment but that’s where the “all animals are equal - except the pigs” - starts to become more tricky.

When looking at the Swiss system, a substantial part of its success is due to a large amount of pre-vote information & discussions. And still some populist themes can win.

StackIt als Lidl Tochter wäre ein Anfang in Sachen lokaler Cloud. Auch wenn es nicht eben die Tante Emma Philosophie fördert.

Agree on building the bottom-up community via useful apps and communities. Disagree with the voting part - whole-heartedly agree with the kings & presidents part…

Like that and certainly would make scaling and aligning a lot easier…

Looked at Nostr as well but think the wallet piece would hold back too big a population from our targeted user segment…

Would love to contribute & learn jointly as well. Also have a client project that would need / use a private / local-only mode & the local / regional already would have 30+ irl groups that would use it.

So how about getting together & brainstorming how an ATP/PDS+ solution could look like?

You should talk to the folks at Phoenix Technologies…they might be interested…

Hey Tom,
are you / is @nor.dev going to share your gig? Very interested.
Assessing whether ATP / PDS / various AI automations lends itself towards a “caring community” matching pro bono helpers & elderly users that request help along certain categories & geo fenced regions plus availability. WDYT?
