Didn't work. Fire Pro is one of the Proton games that hates multiple cores, sadly. I REALLY don't wanna install it on Windows, or use Windows much for that matter.

Now I'm having the idea of playing it on a different distro to see if Fedora's being Fedora, but I've no idea if Steam can be "installed" on a LiveCD or not

It's this crap that makes me dual boot because of the possibility of programs not working, but at a certain point I start to ask "why bother with this, let's go back to Windows" but there's a MYRIAD of reasons why I don't want to. And "distros" of W11 have their own risks.
You can't win.

I'd recommend destroying the partition or moving it to a separate drive entirely. Windows LOVES devouring Linux's bootloader and it's a bit of a mess to repair it.
