It's been a year since Yahoo and Google forced us to use DMARC..

(and that's a good thing!)

Have you gone back and checked your settings since then?

You need to.

Have any questions? Reply and let me know.

Do you trust your browser?
I almost had to find a new favorite this week...

I do trust Safari and Firefox
Not Chrome or Edge.

Mozilla (Firefox) changed their Terms of Use last week and upset a lot of people, myself included!

But, Monday they rewrote the new terms to be more clear...

DOGE gaining access to government systems is a HUGE security issue. Read this non-political article from Bruce Schneier to learn more... www.schneier.com/blog/archive...

Our representatives in government should not allow this to happen!
DOGE as a National Cyberattack - Schneier on Security
In the span of just weeks, the US government has experienced what may be the most consequential security breach in its history—not through a sophisticated cyberattack or an act of foreign espionage, b...

Just wrapped up my #Create30 journey with 20 posts in 30 days! I learned how vital community support can be and how constraints boost creativity. Planning ahead will be a game-changer.
I’m most proud of publishing my first YouTube video—flaws and all.

Online creators often launch with a minimum viable product. Their MVP.

Today, while thinking about how to help protect them from threats, I had an idea...

Minimum Viable Security. MVS.

Doing enough to be protected, without wasting money and time.

What do you think about this idea?

Most online professionals don’t think about cybersecurity—until something goes wrong.

The truth?

You don’t have to be an expert to protect yourself.

I used to think your MFA app needed to be separate from your password manager, but now I think it’s okay to keep them in the same app.

Why? Convenience matters. If security is too frustrating, people take shortcuts—like skipping MFA altogether.

✉️ Wondering if that email is safe? Here are 5 tips to keep you safe!

1. Check the sender's address: Look closely at the email address for misspellings or strange domains.

2. Look for personalization: Legit emails will likely use your name, not just “Dear Customer.”

The secret to cybersecurity for online professionals:
Do these 6 things, and you're doing enough...

1. Strong, unique passwords (password manager is a must)
2. Use MFA. Even if they guess your password, MFA stops them cold.
3. Device and network security. Update everything, often.

My 5-Year Reflection... (and a look ahead)

I'm disappointed in where I am as a creator online. Zero progress because of inaction.

But in 2025 I am...

..making progress.

.....improving my consistency.

........stretching my boundaries.

I AM EXCITED FOR THE NEXT 5-YEARS!

Last March I shared how email security could keep YOUR emails from being delivered to the inbox..

I still believe it, but if I were to write this now I’d be more adamant that it’s your RESPONSIBILITY to set it up correctly.

If you have a personal or business website and custom email, have you ever thought about email security and deliverability?

Do the terms SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI mean anything to you?

If you think I'm just smashing random keys on my keyboard, you can tell me that too!

Ever think about any of this?

Gratitude for the helpful.

I'm thankful for how many people want to help others.
It's easy to be cynical and think everyone is out for themselves, but when you really open your eyes, there are many people that are just trying to make this world a better place.

I'm thankful for those people.

I enjoy learning new things.

Over the last couple weeks I've been documenting the small lessons.
Now I can look back over what I picked up and it is helping me commit it to memory, and not go off in other directions.
Focuses my attention more on what is important.

I finally did it—I published my first YouTube video!

Setting up Fathom Analytics on Carrd.

It’s raw, unpolished, and only two minutes long, but I turned on the camera, hit record, and got it done. No overthinking, no endless scripting—just action. It’s not perfect, but it’s real.

"Why don't I get emails from <client>?"
or "why are all my emails going to spam"?

As an email admin the first thing I check is the spam filter.

Every email is scored and either allowed or filtered.

But one today was something else...
common, but easily fixed.

What resource has significantly impacted my work?

Cal Newport's podcast, Deep Questions.

Back in 2020 I was introduced to his book So Good They Can't Ignore You. That lead me to his podcast, and I've consumed anything he's created since then.
