The contrast with Reform is obvious, where national popularity is driving local results. But at a local level seems like the Centre Left-Left vote is splintering.

The area is a huge factor too. I live Nunhead side of Peckham Rye. Similar houses just the other side of the park (towards/into East Dulwich) are noticeably more expensive.
I bet nicely done up 3 bed terrace houses can go for £1.5m there.
But not everyone can afford to live in East Dulwich. Big wows

I think they’re just way too credulous when anyone with a finance background and a hobby horse says “this will boost growth”

I genuinely see no value in it economically and it meaningfully reduces transparency.

In the future ordinary mortals won’t be able to see which funds are shorting which stocks just that there is an X% total short position in an issuer.
This is being taken forward with the suggestion that it will “support growth” by removing unnecessary barriers that might inhibit/discourage shorting…
