I have spent decades working on my Thanksgiving turkey, and I came to the same conclusion too. Splitting out dark and white meat makes smoking it so much easier.

Fair, I could see it. It's once a month though (4 people per team) and only half a meal (one person per team brings half a meal). Some have recommended ordering pizza, and we end up with mean saying they can't keep track of their turn...

The weirdest one for me: I am part of a sports club. The women's league brings food each evening (once a week) and makes it a fun, revolving pot luck. Men always look at it and say "Must be nice."

A good alternative: Smoke your turkey on a smoker or BBQ or in the oven. It tastes better.

It's been awhile since I watched the show (thus I may be misrembering) but wasn't there multiple times Aang had challenges? And weren't there flashbacks to other avatars overcoming challenges? Otherwise we probably wouldn't have watched it?

Would using a system like Buffy balance it all out?
