I know I need to open up my LG Netee to touch up the scart joints before I let it go as it tends to lose 2 of 3 RGB lines (but not sync).
Oh, the 16:9 issue. Is your scart cable outputting 12V? Later/higher end TVs registered 9V and less as a 16:9 signal.

I'd guess a bad connection on the sync line.

Picked up a Logitech StreamCam for ~€90 a few years back.
Video is great, but wife had issues when trying to use on her Windows laptop (didn't register every time we plugged it in, but when it did it worked fine for days) YMMV

I'm sure there is a German word for what you are looking for 🤔
