Will the government’s recently announced ‘ambition’ for 90% of children to reach the expected standard in the phonics check and its planned Year 8 mandatory reading test have the desired impact?

So, the CYPDM checking exercise has now been extended until 7 November, and data won't be published tomorrow as planned. V welcome extensions given the problems last week, but not good enough #data #gcses #alevels @ascl-uk.bsky.social
