Absolutely wonderful sold-out event at my local library here in Mickleover--thank you so much to everyone who came along to hear me talk about "The Art of Murder," and all who bought books!

Massive thank you Asad for bringing me along as your plus one to the opening of the Wes Anderson exhibition at the Design Museum. What a thrill to rub shoulders with Wes, Tilda Swinton, Ben Kingsley, Nick Cave...

Amazing to see all the costumes and gear from some of my favourite movies!

A review which (to my shame) I missed when it first appeared! Barry Turner gave THE HOUSE AT DEVIL'S NECK an excellent write-up in the Daily Mail back in August:

"With a plot that has more twists than a coiled snake, readers are in for a thrilling exercise in mental agility."

This is great to see! Chinese editions of THE MURDER WHEEL and CABARET MACABRE!

Wishing a very happy publication day to my lovely friend Susannah and her superb gothic novel THE DRIFT--a perfect read for Halloween!

Susannah was kind enough to answer my author Q&A--take a look at it, and while you're there, feel free to sign up!

The first Spector story to reach supermarket shelves--"Upon A Midnight Clear" in the new paperback of DEATH COMES AT CHRISTMAS, edited by Paul Kane and Marie O'Regan, can be found in Tesco and ASDA, plus all the usual places! It makes a great stocking filler... (Pictures pinched from Samantha Hayes)

"Tom Mead is the modern master of the witty, playful, intricate Golden Age mystery [...] but these books aren't mere tributes: they're splendid, involving mysteries, full-blooded and self-assured."

The other day I popped into Waterstones Derby--always a delight! But there's good news and bad news. Bad news: they are completely sold out of THE HOUSE OF DEVIL'S NECK. Good news: more copies are on the way! And you can bet I'll be back to sign them when they arrive...

Hey, look at this! Since Jeremy Black wrote such a wonderful review of THE HOUSE AT DEVIL'S NECK for The Critic, he has clearly been inspired to revisit the first two Joseph Spector novels in his "Murders for October" column!
