If an electric gla were to follow at a similar price point a) the Mosel Y would be at risk and b) my family, which needs a hatchback, would be really interested.

I had hoped we were past that, but we aren’t.

They have to understand at least a bit, otherwise they don’t know what questions to ask nor how to assess the answers.

Lesser figures could well have faced criminal charges and jail time. These folks should too.

He was chasing our car down our driveway. As we started rolling down the street, he cut towards the sidewalk, but missed his angle. Put his big, beautiful, largely empty skull right on the middle of a Toyota's bumper.

As he staggered away we could almost see the butterflies whirling round his head.

This is so on point, but I'm going to be that guy just this much:

My childhood dog, Curry, a golden retriever of surpassing beauty, kindness & all-round doggitude was, shall we say, not the sharpest tool in the shed, as shown by the time he didn't bark at a parked car; he ran into it, full tilt.

More generally, though, al lack of elementary scientific/quantitative literacy makes many reporters basically unable to cover a lot of stories on their beats. How do you report on public health if you don't have a functioning bullshit detector for what would be required for a claim to be true?

Absolutely

I will.

Bookshop.org now sells ebooks & seems to match Amazon prices. Right now the app only works on iOS & Android devices (so would work on the Boox option), but they've muttered about working with Kobo. And it would be nice to make it easier than Kindle does now to read the various file formats.
Bookshop.org: Buy books online. Support local bookstores.
A better way to buy books online. Every purchase financially supports local independent bookstores.
