Interesting - in Belgium it was just recently introduced. I have always wondered whether it was a good idea. What kind of problems did you see arise ?

The idea that there are no protests in the US and no one is standing up to Trump is proving incredibly hard to kill over here in Germany. It’s become dogma, utterly detached from empirical reality.
I wonder if the people who keep talking like that understand they’re perpetuating regime propaganda.

Since there are a lot of people insisting that protests don't matter and the Trumpists can simply ignore public opinion: I just wrote about why this idea that authoritarian regimes are impervious to public pressure is very wrong and basically just perpetuates the regime's assertion of inevitability:
