Mean and nasty Canadian. Author of "Play Ball!," a lavishly illustrated, coffee-table book about pro baseball in Vancouver, B.C., now available for sale at Nat Bailey Stadium and the BC Sports Hall of Fame.
Receptacle for trash and a dumpster.

I'd also include Fiorello La Guardia as a democratic socialist predecessor as New York City mayor, in practice if not party membership. Elected as a Republican, but also on the ballot line for the American Labor Party.

And what of Werner Finck?

He was imprisoned, released, served in the German Army on the Eastern Front, decorated, survived the war, and lived until age 76, dying in 1978.

Hitler killed himself on April 30, 1945. Goebbels had his six children murdered before killing himself on May 1. Convicted and sentenced to death after the International Military Trial in Nuremberg, Goering (below) escaped the hangman's noose by committing suicide the night before on Oct. 16, 1945.

Jimmy Swaggart (1935-2025).

Caught a revival meeting in Vancouver when he was on the comeback trail in 1991.

"I feel the presence of God in this building tonight," the preacher's daughter-in-law said.

If so, He had no trouble finding a seat.
