Released today, a more mature offering from Ben Quad. Heavy midwest emo vibes but very melodic and with screamo elements. It's a very cohesive album, well produced, and another great 2025 emo release; there's been a few! 8/10

I've heard of these but never heard them. Reminds me of earlier Bon Iver, but with more of an alt-country twang. It's very soulful, has a 70s folk-rock sound. I like them but don't think i can get more enthused than that. 7/10

Album #350 - Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party by Hayley Williams
I found this quite boring for large parts. It seemed as though minimal effort was put into a lot of the songs, musically. Some decent songs amongst these, but few and far between. Unimpressed. 5/10

It was surprisingly easy to get tix on their last tour, but then again, they were playing more than 2 UK dates 🤷♂️
I saw Rocket are playing Leeds next year .. I'm tempted by that!

I have the same feelings about this as I did their last one. Some standout tracks, but overall not an album that I think I'd want to revisit very often. Not awful by any stretch, tho. 6/10

Both great albums that I've discovered this year. Yeah, Fopp is ace, but can be a cash drain without a lot of restraint 😅

I really like their '22 album which I've been listening to quite a bit the past few months. This new one follows in the same form, a really great indie album with shoegaze elements, excellent vocals and textured guitars. 9/10
