An immediate ceasefire would be a sign that Russia considers peace talks.

It is quite a remarkable scene. For me, it is an echo of a Biblical scene: Haman paying homage to Mordechai. It was the beginning of the end for Haman. It is not an analogy but an echo.

The plan gives Putin a clear victory:
- Ukraine ceding territory it now holds, after 4 years of fighting;
- Reducing Ukraine's military by over half, making it weak;
- No NATO enlargement, giving Putin a veto over NATO.
