I for one am pretty stoked that we're apparently in the "socialism is good" phase of our fascist takeover. Would love to give money to subsidize the government's terrible economic policies against the very people we acknowledged that would be most at risk.

We're rolling back all the safety measures so we can find out that vaccines don't cause autism when the numbers don't go down, and then we're gonna put everything back after thousands will needlessly get sick or die from preventative measures. I'm not religious, but here's to hoping there's a hell.

There are 2 paths forward for #GOP right now in the wake of this blue blood bath.

Accept that Trump's extremism is wildly unpopular and become more moderate and start opposing him to win back voters.

Follow him even more blindly and lean into the fascism in hopes he will prevent future elections.

I know these have been dark times, and I know we aren't out of the woods yet, but for the first time in over a year, there's light piercing the clouds. Republicans across the country tonight just got a glimpse of what unfettered loyalty to Trump is going to cost them.

My favorite argument against the ACA credits is they're too expensive. When really, the only people benefiting from them ending are insurance companies. People will still get sick, in fact, sicker, without access to preventative care, and needing more urgent care.
October 31, 2025 at 6:03 PM
Combine this with the impending premium surge when the credits expire and a whole bunch of people are going to get financially destroyed.
