There's a lot of speculation Roberts must be in the Epstein files or that some kompromat makes him rule this way.
FFS, people. He has agency! He's always been corrupt & awful.

They're also pinkwashing the spammyness.
Wood got slammed by bigots for a Pride month IG post, but the way they're raising money off it feels gross. FWIW, I can't find any proof Blue Amp Action PAC ever spent a dime on any candidate, with most of the $ going to Blue Amp Action LLC for consulting.

I remember liberals 20 years ago being disarmed by how handsome John Roberts was, especially his dreamy blue eyes.
Two decades of enabling fascism haven't been kind, but at least now we know what it looks like when the soul leaves the body.

Making this abjectly awful idea even more vile, @neatoday.bsky.social is screening applicants, likely so only true believers will be allowed to participate.
And those essays? AI cannot make K-12 schools more equitable, inclusive, or advocate for all students.

What guardrails, @rweingarten.bsky.social? OpenAI, Anthropic, & MS already flagrantly violate all 9 core values.
AI is:
Unsafe
Anti-human
Disempowering
Inequitable & unfair
Fascistic
Uncritical & uncreative
Intellectually dishonest
Socially irresponsible
Environmentally catastrophic

Nothing wrong with subjecting policies to scrutiny, but the time-is-money argument is... charitably absurd.
No, saving half an hour a day wouldn't net a rider an extra $10. That's not how clocking in/ out works. And they'd still have to subtract the $2.90 fare. $7 for express. Each way.

This may be too clever by half, but I happen to agree with Senator Lee.
Right-wing violence, particularly this form of fascistic, evangelically inspired vigilantism, is what happens when even the mildest left critique is maligned as extreme, while actually extreme right-wing bigotry is normalized.

It will also have consequences for college-goers (including those who leave without a degree). ED services 43 million student loans in their $1.6 portfolio. Trump has already broken PSLF and IDR. The executive order telegraphs their intent to sell off/privatize the loans.
This. Must. Not. Happen.

There are millions of Americans who have Al Green's back.

The passive construction in this passage says it all. Issues of respect and gratitude did NOT fuel the shitshow.
Vnce's explosion came only after Zelenskyy correctly related the history of Putin's aggression— and Russia's present & future influence over Trump and the US.

As a poor kid at a rich school, I encountered just this sort of abusive asshole all the time. Kids who'd try to buy their way into relationships/friendships and then demand their marks be constantly thankful, obsequious, and mindless.
Somehow Vance is both the abuser and the lickspittle toady.

Nope. That's an old press release from August about the previous injunction. Grosz has decided to come after the entire foundation of forgiveness under ICR and REPAYE

The idea that Republican 'school choice' efforts were targeted at helping low-income families get into private or charter schools is ludicrous.
School choice has only ever been about defunding public education.

With Biden's announcement, next week's negotiated rule-making has me worried they've embraced a technocratic approach to fixing a broken system when being fixed still means indenturing millions for decades to come— and calling that outcome success.
