It’s also what you serve if you want to feed a large group of people specifically with pizza but would rather not pay for Domino’s, Panago, Uncle Fatiah’s, or some other indie place or local chain - I’ve seen them at kids’ parties, club events, and in the respective NWFF and Anirevo break rooms.

For my non-BC followers: Freshslice is glop on greasy cardboard that you eat if you’re starving, only have $3 in your pocket, and if you aren’t close to any other affordable food spots (…or lack a Costco membership if in Downtown Vancouver)

As a panelist, “working” smaller cons is indeed less stressful, mostly because of the smaller turnout and laid-back vibe - it’s why I prefer to test my panel proof of concepts at those cons compared to my “larger” cons.

(I didn’t end up going to UBC for CS, but currently have a two-year computing diploma that’s taken seriously locally!)

I also portion and freeze my chocolate chip cookie dough, so I can pop a dough ball (or two) in the toaster oven for a freshly baked treat 🥰
