I got home at midnight to Fazakerley. Knew it would be a problem with an 8 pm kick off. Saturday 3 pm games are great but night games are a problem. Also the train from Fazakerley Station before the game was absolutely rammed and that was 90 minutes before kick off

Great memories , it was my first big away game as a 14 year old on a coach. I think it was Barnes Travel, managed to go to the final and both replays but obviously ended up heartbroken 💔

It's hard to find ant footage from this game Rob , I also remember Whatmore ( I think ) hitting the underside of the bar late on

Yes I was there on the railway terrace getting soaked. One of the floodlights short circuited and went out at our end I remember.

After 3 or 4 failed attempts at quitting X I have stayed off it for about 3 months now and genuinely I feel much better. This place moves a bit more slowly but is generally a safer space. Long may it continue.

Yes particularly the Reg Seekings depiction. The real guy had PTSD ( as did Mayne ) and his wife actually asked that he be taken off active duty because of it. I think the Peaky Blinders approach to the subject matter makes it very entertaining but means the real story gets sidelined
