I'm gearing up to pitch my fantasy/mystery genre blend to agents. First step, finding comp titles. I'm having a challenging time, since I haven't found many mysteries set in fantasy worlds, but I've got a small list to check out. First up: The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett.

Working on my Warhammer Underworlds Sepulcher Guard. Once I figure out the paints on this model, I'll do the rest to match. Still have to do a dark wash, then corrosion wash on the copper, and finally highlight.

Yay! I finished the first draft of my novel, just in time to claim 2024! Time for a break to reset my head before diving into edits. Total came in at 76,140 words. I had predicted 80,000, so that's pretty good.

1000% this chunk of asphalt with a partial tile labyrinth that appeared as set decoration in the opening is going to be a crucial clue in the second act.
