It was great to meet with Mayor Claire Ward this week and discuss the progress towards the Chesterfield-Staveley Regeneration Route. I am delighted that she has unlocked £2.5 million to fund the ground investigation programme, marking a significant step forward for the project

Following @Derbyshirecc recent Ofsted on SEND education, had a simultaneously inspirational and worrying meeting at Brampton Primary, a school with a great background in supporting SEND children.

But with 3 times more EHCP children than average the need for £ support is acute.

Noted that Lee Anderson was there but chose not to make a speech and only asked one question...about West Cumbria!

Ashfield's former miners deserve someone who can be bothered to speak up for them.

Happy to meet doctors and specialists at @LeukUK reception in parliament.

In Chesterfield over the last five years 84 people have been diagnosed with Leukaemia, tragically 39 of them have died. I want to see the survival rates increase through better data monitoring.

Really glad to get an opportunity to visit Outwood Academy Newbold and meet pupils, teachers and leadership team and hear about their excellent Progress 8 results and successful efforts to drive down suspensions and exclusions.
