sure... but this isn't an argument against speed cameras. if the populace wants to pay more in taxes to fund these things, okay. but I don't think they do, and in the meantime speed cameras objectively make our communities safer.

eh, not every section of autobahn is unrestricted and speed cameras are used throughout Germany. also much higher gas taxes maintain the infra to a much higher standard. if we did all those things, surez maybe. but it makes no sense to pick and choose

that's a weird take. I think crimes should be punished, even if a car was used. how we punish those crimes is actually a totally different discussion. eliminate jail for all murders? well, maybe? I guess? I mean it's complicated, sure. just for car drivers though? nah, sorry.
