Hadn’t read this one in a few years. This time I did it mostly on the Pete Cross audio book, which I highly recommend. I feel like I can make sense of Melville’s prose better by listening than by reading? Loved it as always, and the end is so intense

Continuing with the Poppy Wars series. The Dragon Republic was unrelentingly grim, but I’m sucked in now. Will definitely continue with the series but may look for something lighter first
