I'll admit, this one never clicked for me until the tenth anniversary rerelease last year. Then I finally got it.

Nolan's 2001. Instead of being absorbed into the universe and reborn, Coop transcends space and time to keep his promise to his daughter.

Wake Up Dead Man is on Netflix today. I saw it in theaters twice and have had a couple weeks to chew on it now.

Best movie about faith since Scorsese's Silence. Johnson clearly gets the tension between beauty and compassion and ugly striving under the same roof.

Saw Kill Bill: Whole Bloody Affair today. Definitely plays better as one movie. The added anime sequence was surprisingly dull. Prefer House of Blue Leaves in black and white too. Still plays like gangbuster.
