We're looking at pollinators in the Nursery - This is a male Common Blue butterfly - polyomatus Icarus. The hindwing of both sexes have a row of reddish/orange spots.

Brimstone butterflies (Gonepteryx rhamni) overwinter 7 months then feed up on spring flowers. The female leads males an upward dance before tumbling down to mate. She usually lays on the 2 buckthorn (rhamnus) species, purging & alder, the caterpillars' food

Slo-Mo video of honey bees leaving and returning to a hive at our community tree nursery.
It seems they may not be as graceful as they look in real time. The nursery is open for volunteering each Wed, Fri, and last Sat of the month from 10am-3pm. www.treemusketeers.org.uk
